What does SPF 50 PA++++ mean?

You are probably familiar with the concept of SPF. But do you also know what it stands for? SPF is an abbreviation of Sun Protection Factor. A sunscreen with SPF50 therefore has a protection factor of 50. This means that you can be exposed to the sun for 50 times as long before you will burn. So if you normally burn quickly, after just 5 minutes? Then, if you are properly applied with SPF50+, you can safely sit in the sun for 5x50=250 minutes. It is necessary that you reapply your sunscreen every two hours.

The PA rating is separate from the SPF and therefore says something different about the protection. PA is a system devised in Japan that allows you to read the degree of protection against UVA. The PA rating from PA+, PA++ to PA+++ and finally PA++++. The SPF50+ basically says nothing about protection against UVA, but only against UVB. Also in this case, do not forget to regularly reapply your SPF50, because a high factor does not mean that you need to apply less often.
